Overview
Love Test: Compatibility Match (“Love Test,” “the app”) is a fun entertainment app with Love Calculator, Crush Test, and Couple Check-In. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
Data we collect
On your device (local): names you enter for love calculations, calculation history, Crush Test answers during a session, and preferences (language, haptics, onboarding seen).
Couple Check-In (cloud, anonymous): when you use Couple Check-In we create an anonymous session (no email or password). We store couple room metadata, invite codes, check-in answers, deterministic compatibility scores/categories, and optional AI insight or deep-analysis results for that room. Answers are protected so partners only see shared results when the check-in flow allows it.
We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the core app. Premium purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat.
Local storage
Love Calculator history and settings are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes that local data.
Couple Check-In & cloud services
Couple Check-In uses Supabase to sync rooms between partners. Data is protected with row-level security so only room members can access their couple check-in. Invite codes let a partner join; treat them like a private link.
AI insights
Optional AI couple insights and Premium Deep Couple Analysis are generated on our servers (Supabase Edge Functions) using OpenAI. We send structured check-in answers and score context needed to generate the insight. We do not sell your relationship answers. AI text is for entertainment only — not counseling or medical advice.
Subscriptions (Premium)
Optional Premium subscriptions (for example Deep Couple Analysis and Couple History) are processed by Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives an app user identifier linked to your anonymous session and App Store transaction information. Apple remains the merchant of record for billing.
Product analytics
We may use PostHog for product analytics (feature usage funnels such as check-in started, result viewed, paywall viewed). Events use anonymous identifiers and safe properties only (for example question index, score range buckets, subscription package id). We do not send raw answers, partner answers, names, emails, room codes, or AI prompt / response text to analytics.
Advertising
The app may show ads through Google Mobile Ads / AdMob, including:
- App open ads (on launch or return to the app)
- Interstitial ads (occasionally after calculations or Crush Test)
- Native ads (on result and history screens)
Those partners may collect device and usage information according to their own policies to deliver and measure ads. Learn more in Google’s advertising and privacy documentation. Seller authorization for this developer site is declared in app-ads.txt.
Sharing feature
When you use Share, a result image is created on your device and sent through your share sheet. You choose where it goes. Shared couple cards are designed to avoid exposing private partner answers. We do not store shared images on our servers.
Children’s privacy
Love Test is light entertainment for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is needed to operate the app features described above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will appear in a new version of the app and on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
